Skegness prepare for new cricket season
Skegness Cricket Club have appointed a new first team captain as they prepare for the 2013 season.
Richie Hewitt, who opened the batting for the club’s 2nds last season, will lead the seasiders as they look for honours in the Lincolnshire ECB Premier League.
The club has also been busy strengthening their squad this winter and right-handed batsman Ricky Lovelace has signed from Woodhall Spa.
Former Boston player Matty Hood has joined the seasiders to keep wicket.
The overseas player is Sean Williams from Australia.
Saeed Bariwala will continue to play for the seasiders and there is hope that young batsman Jamie Epton should be more available this summer.
