In the Sid Dennis and Sons Ltd Division One Marine A have got off to a flyer.
Having won their first two games they first took on Barkham Arms, beating them 7-3. Maximums came from Carl Abbiss and Rob Hewson.
Carl had a 15 dart leg, while Anthony Hulley responded for Barkham with a 121 checkout and a 12 dart leg.
In their second match against stablemates Boathouse 501s it was the Sam Hewson show, as they breezed to a 9-1 win with Sam hitting 3 x 180 124, 134, 135 finish, 76 finish and 104 finish in legs of 16 and 3 x 15. A fantastic performance with an average of 32.85 per dart.
Brother Rob also got in on the act with 121, 125, 3 x140 and a 111 finish. Carl Abbiss hit 3 x 140, 177 and a 180 as he also won both his singles.
501s Gary Garton got their only point, hitting 135, 140, and an 18 dart leg and Chris Fletcher hit 121, 123, 2 x 140.
501s had previously beat New Park Rangers 6-4.
The Rangers also lost this week 8-2 to the Wainfleet Outsiders with G Fitton their best scorer with 2 x 121, 2 x 140, while Outsiders had L Yates 180 and a 17 dart leg, in his two singles wins.
They had previously beat Countryman in a cracker of a game that went down to the last leg.
Darrell Webb being the star of the show for Countryman, with 121, 125, 2 x 140, 180 and a 19 dart leg, while Outsiders Dave Tuplin got the winning leg with 125, 140 2 x 180 and legs of 18, and 19 darts,
Countryman’s other game, was also a close affair, going down seven three to Barkham Arms, with Darrell checking out on 109.
Ken Wilson hit 125, 135, 139 and 140 while Barkham had Scott Sutton hitting 123, 3 x 140 and legs of 18 and 19 and Chris Simpson hit 2 x 140 and an 18 darter.
In the Sid Dennis and Sons Ltd Division two, Finnegans showed their title intentions.
They gained comfortable wins with an 8-2 win over Highwayman Hustlers, racing into a 5-0 lead, before Carol Wakefield and Natalie Weston took the first pairs.
Natalie also won her second singles against Bill Proom, Rosie Boneham scored 95 and 2 x 98, Natalie hit 3 x 100 and 140, while captain Carla Smith chipped in with 132.
Finnegans’ Bob Millar put himself in line for the high finish in this division with a 137 that will take some beating.
Their second victory came against Boathouse Barracudas, 7-3, this time Russ Millar hit 4 x 100 and a 140.
Barracudas had also lost their first game by the same score to Seaview Raiders.
Another team with title intentions, Seaview, had Captain Steve Emsen as top scorer with 123, 3 x 125 and a 92 finish.
Their second game saw them take on another fancied team, WMC Amigos and Seaview took the game six four with Steve getting the winning singles.
The Amigos D Reding had a 115 checkout and Tony Goodwin hit a 16 dart leg.
Liberal Lads top the table in the early stages with two big wins.
First an 8-2 win over Railway Cobras, with Matt Reeson hitting 2 x 140.
Next came an even bigger win, 9-1 over the Highwayman Hustlers and had Mark Carter on target with 123, 140 and a 180. Captain Eric Hammond also chipped in with 2 x 121, 125, 2 x 140.
