Skegness 239 all out

Woodhall Spa 156 all out

Skegness climbed into the top six for the first time this season with a cracking 83-run win at high-flying Woodhall Spa.

It was a fine all-round performance from the seasiders, who won the toss and chose to bat first.

They got off to a good start, but a batting collapse saw them lose five wickets before reaching three figures.

Sean Chamberlain and Paul Butler then put on partnership to steady the ship.

Umar Farooq raced towards a half century, falling a few runs short, as the rest of the Skegness tail wagged.

They were finally all out for 239.

Brendan Young grabbed another five wickets as the seasiders tore through the home side’s defences.

On Saturday Skegness travel to Grimsby.
