Trevor Walton hit 73 runs to help Skegness 2nds to victory over Belton Park at Richmond Drive in the South Lincs & Border League Premier Division at the weekend.
Walton’s contribution was part of a convincing batting display by the seasiders.
Liam Taylor was also amongst the runs, scoring 43 before he was run out, and Michael Jackson posted 34.
In reply Belton Park’s Nick Law scored 58 and Nathan Whales 35, but they could only muster 184 from their 45 overs, which was 71 short of the target.
Michael Jackson was the pick of the Skegness bowlers with figures of 12 overs, four maidens, 32 runs and one wicket.
On Saturday Skegness 2nds, who currently occupy fifth place in the table, travel to bottom club Moulton Harrox.
