Skegness Town Reserves 1

Spilsby Town 0

RICHARD Whittam signed off as manager of Skegness Town Reserves with a win over local rivals Spilsby at Burgh Road on Saturday.

Whittam has decided to stand down as boss of the Lilywhites’ reserves.

But he has left the side in a healthy position, finishing the season in seventh place and reaching the semi-finals of the Willoughby cup.

This latest victory, secured with a first half goal from Josh Whittam, prevented Spilsby from climbing to third in the table.

Skegness played most of the second half with ten men after Kurt Crossley was sent off for something he said during an altercation with the visiting keeper, who was booked for his part in the disagreement.

The club is now searching for a replacement manager. Anyone interested in managing the team in the Boston league are urged to contact secretary Allan Gray, tel 01754 763722.
