Plucky Swifts dive out of cup

Lincolnshire U14s County Cup

Swifts JFC 3 Bourne Town 5

SWIFTS got off to a dream start as Cameron Dunne found the back of the net in less than 20 seconds.

Despite the home team being in control Bourne equalised minutes after.

Both teams were fighting the wind and with half time approaching Tyler Rice put the home team in front with a brilliant strike.

Bourne refused to lie down and were level again seconds after.

After the restart Town got themselves in front after Swifts failed to deal with the advances.

Swifts’ Luke Sands levelled the score with a fantastic free kick from 35 yards out.

The match could have gone either way but it was the visitors who had the extra steam as Swifts failed to deal with the high swirling balls as Bourne Town finished Swifts off with two more counter attacking runs and finished off 5-3 winners,

Seaview Carpets Player of the match: Luke Sands
