Seaview Oak make light work of Chatsworth in the cup

Division One darts league newcomers Seaview Oak demolished Division Two Chatsworth Hotel 11-1 in the quarter-finals of the William Hill Darts League's Knockout Cup.

The Liberal Lads, third in Division One, travelled to Division Two Cricket Club, where a much closer game took place.

The Liberal Lads just edged it 7-5.

An all-first division match saw Ex Service Sports host the Cobras, the Cobras prevailing 9-3 with Ian Chamberlain the top scorer with 125, 138, 2x140, 180.

The top two met in the other game as the Ex Service 501s played host to Arctic Shrew Monkeys.

Monkeys, the leaders, dominated from the start, eventually winning 8-4 victory.

The semis will take place at the Ex Service on May 13.

The league’s first Pro-Am Qualifier of the year will take place on Sunday, February 21 at the Ex Service Club.

It will be a last-man standing competition where all players draw a number to see where they enter the event.

The winner will line up with a professional on November 6 in a pairs event.

The action will unfold at 1.30pm, and entry is £2, limited to 32 players.
