Adie Cooper was the only angler to catch more than one fish, winning the Hewison Cup with two whiting measuring a meagre 64cm in total.

Close behind in second place came Paul Denholm with a 58cm (1lb 8oz) lesser spotted dogfish, which also won him the longest round fish prize.

To complete the total domination by Grimsby anglers, Garry Hutson and Ian Nelson shared third place, each with a 57cm (1lb 7¼oz) dogfish, which also gave them a share of the longest flatfish prize by default, as there were no flatties caught.

A closed SPAC match, will be held on Sunday, May 15 from 9.30am-2.30pm at Sutton Bridge, on the tidal River Nene.

This is a closed match for SPAC members only, although non-members are welcome to join the Club then fish on the day.
