New United Reserves managers revealed

SKEGNESS Utd FC have announced the appointment of Lee Marshall and Bernard Cannon as the club’s new Reserves management team.

They bring a wealth of experience with them and a winning mentality after a hugely successful stint in charge of Croft United, where they won seven trophies in three seasons.

In their final season, they won the Boston Premier League title and the Sports Cup as well as reaching the County Cup Final.

Chairman Geoff Farrar said: “All at the club are absolutlely delighted that Lee and Bernard have agreed to come on board. They were our primary target to begin with and we are really excited about their appointment”.

First team manager Mark Hallam added: “It’s a real coup that Lee and Bernard have agreed to join us.

“We have been patient because we felt they were the perfect fit for our ambitious club and we are all looking forward to the coming season for both teams.”

Pre-season training continues on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30pm at Wainfleet Road.

First team pre-season fixtures are: Saturday, July 7 - Ilkeston Town (away) 3pm kick-off; Tuesday, July 17 - Boston Town (away) 7.45pm; Saturday, July 21 - Hallam FC (home) 3pm; Tuesday, July 24 - Lincoln City FC (home) 7pm; Saturday, July 28 - Radford FC (home) 3pm; Saturday, August 4 - Carlton Town FC (away) 3pm; Saturday August 11 - Grimsby Borough (home) 3pm.
