Skegness Motorcycle Club members and prizewinners at their dinner and dance last Saturday.

It was a celebratory occasion enjoyed by many at the 53rd annual dinner and dance event of Skegness Motorcycle club, held on Saturday.

The evening took place at the Suncastle and the members were also joined by the 16” wheelers sidecar racers who have attended for the last 18 years to both enjoy and remember happy times.

President Bryan Rust welcomed everyone to the evening and chairman Dave Tellefsun reported on some of the years’ activities.

These included the charity runs to the Jay-Gees dog sanctuary and Bransby Home of Rest for Horses out of which the treasurer, Natalie Rutter who organised the run, made a collection from members to adopt a horse and donkey.

The certificates were on show for the audience to view alongside other pictures involving club activities throughout the year.

Guest speaker, Karl Harris spoke on the night of his involvement with motocross and racing.

Mr Harris also donated a signed helmet and shirt to the club which was raffled off and part of the money will go to the RNLI.

Trophies were also presented to members during the night for a number of achievements.

Anyone wishing to get involved with the club is asked to get in touch or come to a meeting which takes place at the Welcome Inn, Burgh Road, Skegness, the first Wednesday in the month from 8pm.
