SKEGNESS bowler Ian Morris continued his successful spell by taking first place in the annual Skegness over 55s bowls tournament.
He battled his way through more than 250 entries from all over the country, and even one from Belfast, to claim the SECWHA title.
The trophy was presented to Ian by SECWHA chairman Nigel Tett, along with a cash prize and the much coveted Jolly Fisherman figurine.
Mr Tett thanked the organisers and the competitors for coming and hoped the prestigious competition would continue to go from strength to strength.
Ian teamed up with fellow Foreshore bowlers Pete Duke and Paul Cameron to compete in the Hewisons Supermarket open triples.
The trio came close, but were just pipped in the final by Dave Adams, from Hucknall.
