FIFTEEN anglers turned out for the latest Chapel Beach Angling Club match on Saturday at Chapel Six Marshes.
The match was fished between 2.30pm and 6.30pm. It started off with sunny skies but ended overcast and cold and the sea was rough throughout.
The match winner was a visitor for the day, Adrian Crain, who won the match with a bag weight of 7lb 4oz.
Adrian also took the prize for the biggest round fish with his specimen 4lb 1oz Bass.
In second place came club member Dave Burr with his bag weight of 4lb 11 1/2oz, and in a close third was club member Paul Marshall with a bag of 4lb 6oz.
The winner of the biggest flat fish prize was Paul Kennedy with his 36cm Turbot.
Dave Burr and Paul Marshall were also fishing their leg of the club knockout, which resulted in Dave Burr coming out on top and going through to the next round.
In total 40 fish were caught and a good day’s fishing was had by all, with most of the anglers fishing.
