SKEGNESS motor-racing driver Sarah Budby is to take part in a new university study.

Cranfield University selected the local racer for study into how racing drivers respond to communication whilst racing.

Sarah, 20, who competes in the MG Trophy Championship will be assessed on a simulator at Izone in Silverstone, Northamptonshire.

Sarah was selected via Spirit Motorsport, who assisted Cranfield University, Msc Motorsport Engineering and Management student, Rik Kaisus in finding drivers suitable for the study.

John Cowan, Spirit Motorsport Team Principal, said “We have been following Sarah’s progress for a while with a view to helping her move up to the Speed Euro Series and do the Le Mans 24 Hours with us at some point in the future.

“Sarah will benefit greatly from her time in the study,” they added.
