Stickney stand out in EBA bowls league

Stickney have been the team of the week in Division One of the Boston and Skegness EBA Bowls League - with two 10-0 victories.

They hosted Boston BC and rinks skipped by Alan Harrison, Roy Rout and Richard Maxwell had good wins.

The next night they travelled to play Foreshore and, with John Bonnett taking over Alan Harrison’s rink, they claimed a surprise maximum.

Sleaford Road remain the favourites following a 10-0 victory at Boston West End.

Burton House are just behind after claiming eight points at Friskney.

Gary Morris and Graham Porter’s rinks gained the points for Burton House whilst Alan Brummitt’s rink claimed a last-end win for Friskney’s two points.

Foreshore visited Wrangle and claimed an 8-2 win.

Gary Kitchen and Brian Kilby’s rinks outweighed the home rink win of Ian Drury.

In Division Two Freiston continue earned a 10-0 victory at below-strength Sibsey.

Mareham hosted Kirton, winning 8-2.

Pete Smith and Brian Clark skipped the victorious home rinks whilst Stan Lawrence skipped the Kirton rink.
