Sponsored by the Hildreds Shopping Centre the Skegness League runs on Wednesday evenings at the Sports Centre on Burgh Road.
The league attracts 12 with over 120 ladies each week and the league will begin again this week (Wednesday, September 17).
This year teams have seen old players depart and new ones arrive to continue the friendly rivalry in the number one ladies sport in England.
South View Hotel hosted the recent Presentation Night with K and S Alford taking the coveted winter league, summer league, versatility and fastnet tournament winners’trophies.
Fenland took runners up slot for the winter league, versatility and fast net tournaments with Skegness Academy third in the winter league and Hallgate taking second place in the summer and Woodhall Spartans claiming third.
Individual awards went to Robyn Beebe, Jacqui Hurren and Charlotte Dunn (most improved), Robin Beebe (best defence), Jo Gowshall (best attack), Claire Mackinder (centre court player), Charlotte Dunn (most versatile), Claire Dougall (best umpire), Fran Poulsom (most sporting).
Each team votes after every match for the player of the match from their opposition and the players with the most votes over the season were awarded their trophies.
The final awards went to the best Young Player of the Season who receives the Pat Fountain memorial shield and this year’s recipient was Vic Allen from Skegness Grammar School.
The supreme award of Player of the Season went to Robyn Beebe of Woodhall Spartans.
A charity auction and raffle on the night, by the Sunnydecks team members, raised £600 towards breast cancer care.
