Skegness Ladbrokes darts league sees the top two sides battle it out

In Division One this week the big two battled it out.

Second placed Wainfleet Outsiders took on league leaders WMC Steelers.

The Outsiders won the first two pairs 6-4,

However, it was the leaders who won the last pairs to force the draw and maintain their unbeaten record.

Ex Service Cobras had a comfortable 11-1 win against Seaview Raiders, Seaview remain the only team in the league without a win.

Barkham Arms beat Liberal Adams 9-3.

The in-house derby at the Ex Service club saw the Sports take on the 501s and the 501s took two of the doubles to record a 7-5 win.

In the Sid Dennis and Sons Lts Division Two WMC Aces raced into a 5-1 lead after the singles against Cricket Club and ran out 9-3 winners.

Vine and Ex Service C had an interesting tussle as the Vine trailed after the singles 4-2, but fought back well, taking the first two pairs to 6-4 only for the Ex to take the last pairs and force the draw.

A cracker of a game took place at Finnigans as they took on Welcome Anchors and shared the singles 3-3 with Finnigans R Millar going out in 17 and 20 darts in his singles success, They went on to win two of the three singles to get a 7-5 win.

R Millar hit 125 and 2 x 140, Anchors M Oke with a 120 and 125 score and it was noted that A Hardy hit a maximum 180.

Liberal lads maintained pole position with a close 7-5 win away at Welcome Hillbillies and Royal Oak had the same score line away at Liberal Us to keep third spot.

The league remind players that Saturday, March 29, sees a competition at Marine Boathouse. £5 entry including free drink, registration and payment between 11 and 12 noon.
