In the Sid Dennis and sons Ltd Division One of the Skegness Darts League there were three big wins this week for the home teams.

Marine Boathouse dispatched the division’s newcomers Seaview Lads 9-3 and Ex Service 501s beat Arctic Shrew Monkeys by the same scoreline with Mark Forman hitting a 13 dart singles leg and Graham Fitton and Gary Garton hitting a 13 darter in their pairs game with both players hitting a 180.

The in-house derby between Ex Service sports and Ex Service Cobras saw the sports dish out a 10-2 beating, Scott Subden of Sports hit by a sensational 17 darter.

In the Sid Dennis and Sons Division Two, Seaview and Ex Service C battled out a fantastic 6-6 draw, with Stuart Llewellyn top scoring with 171.

Vine took on Welcome Hillbillies and dished out an 11-1 beating, leading 5-1 after the singles they then won all the doubles.

On a disappointing note a game has already been cancelled in the division and one has been cancelled for next week in Division One,

With the new season only two weeks old, the league urge all captains to think before cancelling any games as there are no free Friday’s to play any outstanding games and this means they will have to be played midweek.

The league takes the view that, with ladies now allowed to play, there should be no cancelled fixtures.

These games need to be played before Christmas and the league shall be taking a dim view on all cancelled games and will adhere the rules.

Sunday, December 14, sees the Tony O’Shea Christmas fun bus roll into town.

Starting at the Seaview at 11.45 with a 90-minute exhibition by Tony, the bus will then be boarded to head to the next venue.

At Wainfllet Social Club another hour and half exhibition will take place before the fun bus drives to the Duke of Wellington, Midville, for another hour and half exhibition, before boarding the bus again and heading to Marine Boathouse for another hour and half exhibition.

Tony is the ultimate showman and all those aboard the bus will have a chance to play against him.

Tickets are priced at £10 for this extravaganza and are available from Chris Fletcher, call 07789405588, tickets available strictly on a first come first served basis.
