Skegness Coasters members Mark Harvey, Neil Mitchell, Craig Tarrant and Andy Shelton all ran together around the gruelling 50 kilometre two-lap course of Ennerdale in the Lake District.
The epic run started around the western and northern edges of Ennerdale Water before heading up through woodland into the valley taking in beautiful views of the surround hills and waterfalls.
The turn around point was just after Black Sail Hut where the course started to become a little more challenging with boggy areas, streams and lots of rocks to manoeuvre around.
After a few more woodland trails it was back to Ennerdale Water but this time it was the far more challenging southern side with about two miles of slippery rocks, tree roots and more streams before the climb up to the rather dangerous Crag.
After a hairy descent through large slippery rocks and across a few grassy paths the first lap was done.
Just another 25 kilometres lap to do but at a slower pace as everyone was tiring.
In just under six hours Mark, Neil, Craig and Andy all passed the finish line together in 52nd to 55th positions out of the 94 people that started.
Whilst the 50K was taking place Helena Shelton and Totty (the dog) ran in the 10K, which also encountered the dreaded Crag.
- Helena is pictured with a bandaged knee after slipping up and badly grazing it.
