The Skegness Coasters have travelled far and wide across the country to take part in races.

Rachel Shinn went to Liverpool for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Weekend and on the Saturday ran the 5K, finishing in 31min 17secs, before completing the half-marathon the following day in a time of 2hr 39mins.

On the same Sunday, Tracey Gill, David Freeman and Annabel Bradley participated in the Edinburgh Half-Marathon, gaining times of 2.04, 2.11 and 2.15 respectively.

In the full marathon, Robert Rennie finished in a very respectable time of 3hr 15mins followed by Sheila Wright (3.56), Sarah Hall (4.10), Ben Peel (4.34), Jackie Rhodes (4.35) and Amy St Quinton (4.44).

The day in Edinburgh started off cool and overcast but the sun eventually burnt through the cloud and made the latter part of the race rather warm. Less crowded than the London Marathon it was a beautiful course which looped around Edinburgh before taking runners down the coast road to Musselburgh where the half-marathon finished.

The full marathon continued further down the coast before doubling back on itself and also finishing in Musselburgh.
