Members of Skegness Coasters have tackled the clubs mammoth 57.5-mile Summer Relay.

The slog through the Lincolnshire Wolds sees the first runners meet at the George & Dragon in Hagworthingham at 7am and began the first leg of the 12 legs.

Rob Bateman completed the full 12-leg circuit in approximately 13 hours, and was accompanied along the way by Ben Peel, Gary Dembrey, Julie Hawkesford, Joanne Dembrey, Annabel Bradley, Jackie Rhodes, Dawn Hough, Phae Bryant, Martin Ross and David Freeman.

Janet Harmston and Sarah Leach competed in the Spilsby Show Six-mile race, both clocking personal bests.

Janet was first lady home in the over 55s section (50 mins 22 secs) and Sarah was the 10th lady overall (51 mins 28 secs).

Martin Jessop ran in the Notfast 10k at Newark, completing the leg-sapping course in 47 mins 46 secs.

Amy St Quinton, Lee St Quinton and Andy Wilkinson have taken part in the Skegness Triathlon Club’s Go-Tri Duathlon, centered around the Richmond Holiday Camp.
