There was plenty of action this week in both division one and two of the Ladbrokes Darts League.

In the Sid Dennis and Sons Division One the Steelers took on the Wainfleet Outsiders this week in the tie of the division. And it was the Steelers who took the early initiative with a 5-1 lead.

Outsiders’ pair of D Tuplin, and R Garner took the first pairs to give them hope, however they lost the next one and won the last, but couldn’t avoid a 7-5 defeat. There were 29 scores over 120 - K Thein (140, 180), M Stocks (2 x 140), M Thompson (123, 125, 2 X 140), C Abbis (121, 139, 2 x 140) and S Wilson (2 x 140) for the Steelers and A Pinner (121, 125, 2 x 140), R Garner (2 x 140, 180), C Lees (2 x 140), and M Bell (2 x 140) for the Outsiders.

The in-house derby at the Ex-Service saw the Sports take the honours with a 9-3 win over 501s. Liberal Adams Family took on Barkham Arms and it was the Barkham who took the match 10-2, with K Wilson, and S Kirkham hitting a 20 dart doubles leg.

Ex Service Cobras travelled to Seaview and came away with a full house 12-0 win to leave Seaview Raiders rooted at the foot of the table.

In the Sid Dennis and Sons Division Two, the game of the night came at Finnegans, where league leaders Liberal Lads were the visitors.

The singles were shared 3-3, setting the game up nicely for the doubles and Finnegans rattled off the first two before losing the last; getting the win 7-5 and moving level on points at the top. They remain the only unbeaten team in the division.

Ex-Service C built on their first win last time by defeating the Liberal Us 7-5.

Vine and Welcome Anchors shared the singles, then the home team took the first two pairs to gain another close 7-5 win. M Spence (140, 180), and A Jones (2 x 140) for the Vine. Welcome Hillbilies played host to Cricket Club and got the result 8-4.

The Royal Oak also recorded an 8-4 result against WMC Aces with the Oaks’ L Godrich checking out on 120.

The knock out cup quarter final fixtures have been drawn: Liberal Adams Family v Barkham Arms, Ex-Service 501s v WMC Steelers, Ex-Service Cobras v Welcome Anchors and Finnegans v Wainfleet Outsiders. Ties to be played on January 24.
