Fish biting at Chapel Beach Angling Club match

After several weeks of cancelled matches due to bad winds and inclement weather Chapel Beach Angling Club finally held their latest match on Saturday at Moggs Eye.

There was a south-westerly breeze and the conditions were calm and clear and the sea was calm.

There was a good turn out for the match and almost everyone caught, with plenty of fish between them.

The winner was Danny Smith. In a close second-place was Mark Robinson and in third-place came Paul Jacklin. The winner of the biggest flat fish was Paul Jacklin and the winner of the biggest round fish was Glyn Davies. A good day was had by all who attended.

The next match is on Saturday, May 5, with club members fishing for the Marsdens Cup. There is also an open section for none members. For further information contact Michelle at chapelbeachanglingclub@hotmail.co.uk.
