James Bark claimed two first-place finishes in the K Tec Clio 182 Championship rounds at Cadwell Park.
The 24-year-old Huttoft driver was the star of the show at the meet, run by the 750 Motor Club, also adding a new lap record for the championship.
And if that wasn’t enough, he also recorded the fastest lap time in both races, rounds five and six of the series.
Times of 1:43:56 and 1:43:59 saw James scoop two pole positions in dry and sunny conditions, from a field of 28 competitors.
He won race one by more than three seconds, with a fastest lap of 1:43:55 - the new circuit lap record for the championship.
Matt Digby finished second, with Patrick Fletcher third and Nick Carter in fourth.
Race two saw James cross the finishing line more than two seconds ahead of his rivals, again claiming the fastest lap of the race.
Patrick Fletcher claimed second, with third going to Matt Digby.
These two results have put James in strong contention for a championship title push at the halfway stage of the campaign.
After five years of racing Volkswagen Golf mk2s - including a championship victory - James moved on to racing Renault Clios.
His next rounds are at Snetterton on August 1 and 2.
James is also on the lookout for further sponsorship and anyone interested can call him on 07983 361 894.
