AROUND 150 bikers turned out for the Skegness Motor Cycle Club’s latest sports bike night in Chapel St Leonards last week.

The event took place at Happy Days Leisure in Trunch Lane and the club would like to thank Peter Stewart, the owner of the site, for his support.

The event took place during a lovely summer evening, and members gathered around the Bikes Bars and Club where the Little Big Band was playing.

Dave Hickman came along with his wife Sue to talk to people about his racing carreer, as well as his work on the Norton Rotary Engine.

A raffle draw was held on the night. The winner of a stainless steel barbecue was Jake of the Happy Days site.

A 32 inch TV was won by J. May from Langton and a signed picture of Peter Hickman on last year’s machine was won by a girl in the Stewarts Bar and a hat to go with it .

The final amount raised through the raffle is not definite yet but procceeds will be presented to the Air Ambulance at a later date.

Also donated on the evening was a signed helmet and shirt from Karl Harris, the British Champion. This will be held over to the dinner and dance in January. Anyone interested in winning these prizes should call the secretary, Nancy Wilson, on 01507 490308 for details, as raffle tickets are already available.
