Skegness’ 17-year-old cage fighter George Chambers of SFK Gym in Skegness has won yet another title fight and is now undefeated with a perfect record of 11 fights.

George, who studies at Skegness Grammar School, travelled to the O2 Academy in Leicester to take part in the title fight with his family and friends for support.

George’s opponent was local lad George McManus from 1st Legion gym in Leicester, and had many supporters at the event.

George was not deterred by this and dominated his opponent throughout the fight attempting submissions and landing a good number of kicks,

McManus was a tough Skilfull opponent and held on to the final bell.

George Chambers was announced the winner with a unanimous decision to take the belt, trophy and the title of the new English Junior MMA Champion.

SFK Gym Head Coach Ross Flay said: “I’m very proud of George, he really deserves the win as he dedicates much of his time to training and works hard to maintain his skills and fitness.

“George has really developed as a fighter and his
advanced skills mean he is able to compete at such a high level.

“It’s great for Skegness to have such a young fighter who holds two title belts and George helps to inspire others at the gym.”
