LOCAL racer Sarah Budby showed she has what it takes to be at the top in motor-racing after she took two top awards in her first year.
Despite it being her debut year in car racing, she finished her championship season in third place and was the top novice.
Sarah said: “I aim for a more successful year for 2012 and I’m concentrating on my fitness over the winter so I’m ready for the next season, while also approaching as many sponsors as I can to help me get to the top.”
For 2012 Sarah will be running with winning team Preptech while competing in the MG Trophy championship, which is the world’s biggest one-make car club.
It will be a step up on the motorsport ladder for Sarah, and promises strong competition. Sarah will be racing in a championship that brings thousands of spectators to the grandstands and around the pit.
