Local racing driver Sarah Budby will be running in the Jamsport Ford Fiesta ST Championship for 2015.

The competition is well known as being one of the hardest and best supported series before BTCC and the close racing of the one make series makes it a continued favourite with race fans as all drivers race identical Mk6 Fiesta ST’s.

The Championships huge popularity leads to extensive coverage in the UK media in print, online and television.

Sarah turned heads after winning the LKRC Junior Max Championship in 2007 and has been a racing favourite since being the first female in 30 years to take the Championship and still the only female on the trophy.

Sarah has had numerous podiums in every level of Motorsport that she has competed in, as well as fastest laps and high championship positions.

Being a competitive female in such a male dominated sport raises a lot of eyebrows and makes for an unusual commercial proposition.

Last year was Sarah’s first full season in car racing with Preptech UK, racing in the MG Trophy championship.

This championship has produced BTCC drivers Jack Goff and Fiona Leggate in recent years.

The team were quickly very popular with other drivers and spectators after qualifying in the top three and securing podium finishes and finishing fifth (of 20) in class after 2 DNF’s throughout the season.

Other silverware for the season included the most improved driver of the year, true grit award for determination and ‘never give up’ attitude as well as the highest placed female driver trophy.

This year Sarah made the step up to the Jamsport Ford Fiesta ST Championship and looking for a full attack on the Championship in 2015.

All of this is preparing Sarah for the Renault Clio UK Championship (BTCC Support race) that she hopes to enter in 2016.

The Fiesta race cars are on full slick tyres, with between 20 – 30 cars on the grid ensuring lots of close racing.

Sarah has been offered a Clio Cup car for the 2015 season but would need to raise £80,000 to run the car in the championship.

Sarah has made this a 2016 challenge but will be testing the Clio Cup as and when she is able to throughout 2015.

If your company would like to get involved in the exciting world of Motorsport then now is a great time to get on board with Sarah Budby.

The team would like to make any sponsorship package fit your requirements by giving you more than a sticker on the car.
