The final junior competition of the year for Seacroft Golf Club members took place in relatively benign conditions.

As parts of the course remained waterlogged after the recent flooding, only a selected number of holes were used but the nature of the event didn’t significantly change as a result.

Senior member Stan (Santa) Cole hosted the day and provided an array of prizes and goodies for the participants.

The competition has been going for a considerable number of years and is a popular calendar event.

Winner of the 12 hole section was Lewis Brader with 25 stableford points. Runner-up was Jack Downing, the Junior Club Captain, with 22 points. Third place went to Oliver Roylance and fourth place Jack Remblance.

The six hole medal competition was won by Rocco Toombes with a score of 42, very closely followed by Thomas Webster with gross 43.

The six hole (from 100 yards) competition winner was Josh Lawie with 42 gross and runner-up was Ryan Pain with a score of 44.

The vote of thanks was adeptly given by the Junior Captain, Jack Downing.

Club Captain, David Scott, was in attendance.
