Skegness & District Running Club commemorated their first anniversary with a party and presentation evening at their club headquarters, the Crown Hotel in Skegness.
It has been a very memorable year for the club, which formed in November 2014 and already has more than 100 members from Skegness, Spilsby, Boston and in between.
After the votes were counted, the awards were presented to: Mark Simons (Most Improved Male - sponsored by Lincolnshire Runner), Charlotte Armsby (Most Improved Female - sponsored by Total Sports & Supplements), Norman Eddie Smith (Performance Of The Year - Sponsored by Complete Runner), Hilary Depper (Golden Oldie Award - sponsored by County Care Independent Living and Outstanding Achievement Award - sponsored by Metres To Miles) and Helena Shelton (Club Person Of The Year - sponsored by The Crown Hotel).
Helena asked to share her award with husband Andy, a very fitting tribute as both have worked tirelessly since day one to help develop Skegness & District Running Club into a fun, friendly and supportive club.
