Moakes wins close open

THE Southview Skegness Open on Saturday, September 29 was a very close affair which anyone could have won.

Like most, Terry Moakes of Southview/Pure Pellet found it hard going so then he changed to maggot at 5m picking up small roach and crueys to take top spot with 25lb 12oz.

Second was Gavin Butler of Maver Tech who also had a late run on maggot to pip Paul O’Carroll Southview/Pure Pellet who’s pole went in due to the strong winds.
