Jacklin gets fish nibbling

The latest Chapel Beach Angling Club match on Saturday was fished at Chapel Six Marshes between 4pm and 8pm after a last minute change of time.

Both the weather and sea conditions were ideal for the match.

Ten anglers turned up and several fish decided to come along and join in the fun.

The overall winner of the match was Paul Jacklin with a total bag weight of 3lb 13oz. In second place with a bag weight of 3lb 7oz was Alan Jarvis and in third place was Barry Staniland with a bag weight of 2lb 8 and a half ounce.

Alan Jarvis took the prize money for the biggest flat fish with a 8 and quarter ounce flounder and the prize money for the biggest round fish was split by Johnny Bates and Paul Jacklin who had 1lb whiting.

CBAC’s next match will beheld in conjunction with Skegness Pier Angling Club and will be the RNLI Open on Saturday, October 27 at Jackson’s Corner between 3pm and 7pm.

The club has been raising money throughout the year for Skegness RNLI.

The match headquarters is the Lookout Pub, where a grand raffle will be held with all proceeds going to the local charity.

Any donations of prizes for the raffle will be appreciated.

For further information and/or to make a prize donation, contact CBAC secretary Michelle on chapelbeachanglingclub@hotmail.co.uk or SPAC secretary Chas Tibble on 07984967988 or chastibble@hotmail.com.
