Girls celebrate a maiden title triumph

EAST Coast Juniors received their awards at the presentation evening held at Richmond Holiday Park.

In the girls’ section Ella McGrory and Emily Johnson received managers’ player of the season trophy, Ellie Cunliffe received the players’ player award, Chantelle Whitehead received club-person and Jemma Eastwood picked up the top goal scorer award.

In the boys awards, Sean Smith received managers’ player of the season trophy, Brooklyn White received the players’ player award, Jordan Smith received club-man and Sam Allen picked up the top goal scorer award.

The girls team will be traveling to Lincoln on June 5 to receive their league winners trophy, the first ever trophy to be won in the newly formed Lincolnshire County Girls League by any team.

This was the girls’ first time playing competitive football and they took the league by storm winning the title and remaining unbeaten all season.

The boys team will be traveling to Newark Show Ground on May 25, to receive their trophy for finishing runners-up in the Mid Lincs under 12s B league, gaining them promotion to the A league.
