Foreshore topple leaders to reach semi-finals

SKEGNESS Foreshore progressed to the semi-finals of the county trophy competition by beating Boston side and league leaders Sleaford Road.

Both rinks playing at Skegness drew their matches, and were waiting for the results of the away legs at Sleaford Road.

Gary Kitchen and co drew their game, but Ian Morris and co managed to get a one shot win over Les Feary to take the seasiders through.

They will meet Grantham Bowls Club with a place in the final at stake.

The EBF semi-finals and finals take place this weekend, at Lincoln Moorland Bowls Club.

Truman triples, Nathan Odlin, Ian Clark and Ray Cartwright (Spilsby) v Andy Willey, Rob Skinner and Andy Bennett (Brigg).

Patrons mixed pairs, Rose Amos and Ian Morris (Skegness Foreshore) v Maureen Wilson and Colin Taylor (Cherry Willingham).

Weigall two wood singles, Gary Kitchen (Skegness Foreshore) v Richard White (Burton House).

Champion of champion singles, Ian Morris (Skegness Foreshore) v David Gedney (Bicker).

All county winners will represent Lincolnshire at the EBF national championships at Skegness in August.
