Town’s season slips into May

A string of postponements and lengthy cup runs has seen Skegness Town’s season slip into the month of May.

Indeed the local cricket season will be four weeks old before the Lilywhites complete their fixtures.

Town have seven consecutive home fixtures in 16 days, starting with the match against Lincoln United Reserves on April 6.

The following Tuesday they welcome Boston United Reserves to the seaside and two days later host neighbours Horncastle Town.

On Saturday, April 13 the seasiders have home advantage against Ruston Sports, while April 16 sees them welcome Sleaford Town Reserves to Burgh Road.

Grimsby Borough Reserves are the visitors on April 20 and two days later their busy schedule continues with a home fixture against CGB Humbertherm.

They continue to cram their fixtures in with a local derby against United at Wainfleet Road and then welcome Nettleham on Saturday, April 27.

The season will be finally wrapped up on the evening of May 9, when Louth Town Reserves travel to Burgh Road for a 7pm kick-off.
