'˜Title decider' date set

Skegness Town's final game of the Lincolnshire League season - which could see them lift the trophy - has been re-arranged for next Wednesday.

The Lilywhites hosted Wyberton, the only team who can pip them to top spot, at Burgh Road last Wednesday evening, Town knowing they needed just a point to cement first place.

But with the scores locked at 1-1 with 31 minutes played the match was abandoned due to a waterlogged surface.

Wyberton won 2-1 against faltering Sleaford Town Reserves on Saturday to remain in the hunt for the trophy.

Town will, however, be crowned champions if Wyberton fail to beat Lincoln Railway tonight.

But if the Villagers pick up all three points then next week’s clash will be all or nothing for both teams.
