Only three points separate the top half of the Sills and Betteridge Lincolnshire League in what is turning out to be one of the most competitive contests the league has seen for years.

Boston United Reserves pulled off the result of the day, returning from leaders Gainsborough Town with three points in the bag.

CGB Humbertherm bounced back from Challenge Cup defeat to consolidate their high league position with victory at Horncastle, while Skegness Town won the seaside derby at neighbours United.

Hykeham Town bagged the spoils after making the short trip to Nettleham, while Ruston Sports grabbed the local bragging rights with a tidy win over Lincoln United Reserves.

In the bottom of the table clash a Thomas Robinson goal was enough to secure three points for Heckington United at Grantham Athletic.
