Swifts JFC have been drawn to play Messingham Juniors away in the Andrew Bandelow Memorial League Cup second round after Messingham hammered Northgate Olympic Blues in the opening round.
Ben Brown went one better than his last game, scoring four goals to make it seven in two matches. Ash Barker chipped in with two with Nathan Newton and Sam Houldridge completing the scoring for Messingham in their 8-0 win.
Meanwhile, Swifts JFC’s South league rivals Sibsey, who lead the division, were knocked out of the cup by Lincoln United, who made sure of their place in round two with a 4-0 win. Goals from Carlos Vagarosa (two), Kane Keeley and Alex Nicholls ensured there was no giant killing act at Ashby Avenue.
The next round of the Lincolnshire Intermediate Football League’s Andrew Bandelow Memorial League Cup will take place on November 17.
