Swifts dominate with nine men
Skegness Swifts u13s 11 v Woodhall Spa u13s 1
THIS week Swifts played Woodhall Spa at Jubilee Park with Woodhall at a disadvantage due to only having nine players because of illness.
However, Swifts started the match in a professional manner, quickly dominating possession and putting the visitors under pressure. This pressure resulted in Dominic getting his first ever goal for Swifts with a well taken long range shot.
This was quickly followed by another from Sam Green direct from a corner. Despite the visitors trying their hardest with the numbers available, the home team quickly began to exert dominance and started to score goals one after the other eventually leading the first half 7-0.
After half time and with some changes, Swifts continued with their dominance and carried on scoring goals.
Woodhall Spa were not to be outdone and after some good interplay got their rewards with a well taken goal. However, Swifts quickly re-established their lead and then added another to take the score to 11-1.
At this point Swifts began to become wasteful in front of goal and took their eye off the ball, giving Woodhall Spa hope of adding to their goal, unfortunately, the final whistle came soon after ending the match.
Swifts’ goal scorers - Jack Bradley 3, Brooklyn Donovan 2, Jordan Chauhan, Sam Green 2, Dominic Houltby 2, Naveed Shafiq.
