Skegness Town game postponed and United held to a draw

Heckington United extended their unbeaten run in the league to four games with a win over Cleethorpes Town’s second string.

The victory saw them leapfrog their opponents into ninth place.

Meanwhile, champions Skegness United were held to a draw by Horncastle Town at the Wainfleet Road Playing Fields.

In the Challenge Cup Boston United Reserves completed a league and cup double over Gainsborough Town.

In the Supplementary Cup only one of the scheduled three ties was played. Grantham Athletic’s fixture at home to Sleaford Town Reserves was postponed due to Athletic pulling out of the league.

And Skegness Town were left without a fixture for the third consecutive week when CGB Humbertherm failed to raise a team for the trip to the seaside.

The tie that was played produced seven goals, with Hykeham Town edging out Lincoln United Reserves.
