Skegness Town 7, Market Rasen Town 2

SKEGNESS Town opened their new season with a comfortable win over Market Rasen Town.

With Joby Gowshall and Ben Davison returning to the fold, the Lilywhites proved too strong for the plucky Rasen side.

Aaron Liles opened his Lincolnshire League account with a well-taken brace and there were further goals from Andy Parish, Liam Papworth, Jake Akers, Davison and Daniel Reid.

Steve Adcock and Nathan Ashbridge replied for the visitors.

On Saturday the seasiders travel to Grimsby Borough Reserves to play on their artificial pitch at the Bradley Community Stadium (kick-off 3pm).

Next Tuesday they meet local rivals Skegness United at Burgh Road (kick-off 6.30pm).
