Lilywhites are out to avenge defeat

SKEGNESS Town will travel to Heckington United on Saturday (kick-off 2pm) with revenge very much in mind.

The Lilywhites have lost only three times in the league this season and their first defeat was suffered at home to Saturday’s opponents.

Despite a late fight back, the seasiders went down by the odd goal in five. The players know they didn’t perform that afternoon and they will be going all out to put the record straight.

United have spent most of the season in the lower reaches of the Sills and Betteridge Lincolnshire League, but they have enjoyed something of a revival in form in recent weeks.

Their victory at Sleaford Town Reserves on Saturday lifted them to ninth in the table.

While the first team is on its travels, the Reserves will be at home to local rivals Spilsby Town on Saturday, with a 2.15pm kick-off.

Skegness Town A will entertain Boston United Community at Wainfleet Road playing fields, with a 2.15pm kick-off.
