Skegness United this week announced the appointment of a third manager to take the team forward.

Following the arrival of Gary Edgley and John Barker, Scott Daley has been appointed as Development Squad Manager.

After the appointment of Gary and John as first team managers, many conversations followed regarding the direction of the club and what it wanted to achieve.

The club felt the best route, in order for the it to grow and progress, would be the establishment of a development squad which would run alongside the first team.

It is hoped that the many young, talented players in the area will see this as a natural progression route into the first team.

A statement from the club said: “Skegness United are pleased to welcome Gary, John and Scott to the fold and look forward to an exciting future.

“Scott brings with him experience and a real infectious enthusiasm for the game which will help build the foundations for the future of Skegness United.

“All three managers have worked together before so there is an understanding between them which can only be a benefit to players and club alike.

“This is a great chance for Scott to put his own stamp on the next step for the club.”
