SPILSBY Town pulled off an emphatic 4-0 win against near Wainfleet United in the quarter-final of the Fishtoft Cup at the weekend.
Spilsby soon got into their passing game and soon created a number of chances in the opening minutes.
Goals soon followed from Jordan Turner and Luke Odlin to take Spilsby into a comfortable and deserved 2-0 lead at half-time.
Th second-half continued in the same manner, with Spilsby in control of the midfield and Turner causing problems for the Wainfleet defence with his pace.
In the 65th minute a probing run by Nathan Traves down the left brought the third goal for Spilsby after he left two Wainfleet defenders and slotted home into the corner of the net.
The fourth and fianl goal soon followed after Anthony Miller hit an unstoppable 20-yard shot into the top corner.
Two fine saves from Craig Parry in the final 10 minutes ensured Spilsby kept a clean sheet.
