Cleethorpes Town Reserves 0, Skegness United 1

A stunning Ryan O’Loughlin goal sealed three points for title-chasing Skegness United in the battle of the Sills and Betteridge Lincolnshire League top two.

Unbeaten in the league, United put the disappointment of County Cup exit behind them with victory at Cleethorpes Town Reserves.

O’Loughlin struck during the first half of an excellent advert for the Sills and Betteridge Lincolnshire League.

The game was a tight affair between two sides pushing for honours, but some great defending by the visitors kept their unbeaten record intact and lifted them to the league’s summit on goal difference.
