Busy weekend of league and cup action lined-up

All 14 Sills and Betteridge Lincolnshire League sides are in action this weekend.

Following the resignation of bottom side Grantham Athletic, there is an even number of teams in the league.

Ten of them face each other in the league, while the other four tackle the best in the county in the fourth round of the Lincolnshire FA Junior Cup.

Game of the day is arguably that at the Jakeman’s Stadium in Boston, where Boston United host Hykeham Town.

Cleethorpes Town Reserves get an early chance to avenge last weekend’s defeat when they host Heckington United at the Linden Homes sports ground.

High-flyers CGB Humbertherm and Lincoln United Reserves cross swords at Fulstow, while Horncastle Town entertain Sleaford Town Reserves at The Wong.

In the bottom of the table clash Nettleham host Grimsby Borough Reserves at Mulsanne Park.

In the Lincolnshire Junior Cup Gainsborough Town entertain Moulton Harrox from the Peterborough League in a re-run of last season’s final, while AFC Rustons host Ruston Sports.

Skegness Town travel to Scunthorpe to take on College Wanderers, while neighbours Skegness United entertain Barnetby United.
