Skegness Town Reserves were on the wrong side of a 6-1 scoreline in the Boston Saturday League’s Taylors Garages Premier Division on Saturday.
They were defeated by in-form Heckington Millers, who moved up to fourth in the table.
Skegness currently sit in 10th spot.
Title challengers Spilsby Town - currently second and eight points adrift of Wyberton Reserves, but with two games in hand – were without a match this week.
Friskney were missing five key players for their match against FC Wrangle in the Taylors Ford Division One.
And the visitors took full advantage by taking the three points with a 3-2 away win.
Friskney had opened the scoring through Victor Sibert before two replies put Wrangle ahead.
An own goal then levelled the scores for the home side and a draw looked to the likely outcome before Wrangle conjured up a winner in the dying minutes.
In the Taylors Vauxhall Division Three, Northgate Olympic put up a spirited performance at Spilsby Town Reserves before returning home empty-handed following a 1-0 defeat.
Jake Smith scored what turned out to be the match-winning goal in the first half.
Although the home side squandered several more chances, the Sleaford side remained in the contest right up to the final whistle.
