Former England internationals Steve Harmison, Mark Ramprakash and Devon Malcom are set to feature in a charity cricket match in Louth.
The trio will line up in the Professional Cricketers’ Association Masters v RAF fixture at Louth Cricket Club, London Road on Wednesday, September 3.
It follows last year’s Women’s International cricket match between England and Pakistan at the venue.
East Lindsey District Council’s portfolio holder for sport, Coun Adam Grist said: “This is another great coup for the district and shows that East Lindsey is becoming known as a venue for great sporting events – especially with regards to cricket.
“We look forward to welcoming top players from both the international cricketing arena and the RAF in what is expected to be a hotly contested game. There are some big names in cricket already confirmed so it is sure to be one of the summer’s must-see events.”
The date marks the 75th anniversary of the start of the Second World War.
The match, starting 2pm, will be hosted by the council in partnership with Onlincolnshire and The Brackenborough Hotel.
Tickets (£10, under 16s free when attending with a paying adult) are available on 07827 873026 or www.e-lindsey.gov.uk/Cricket. Corporate packages cost £500 for tables of ten including lunch, refreshments and afternoon tea with a player. For more information email email@example.com.
