Evison placed fifth in 270-strong ten mile race
SKEGNESS Coasters’ running team were well represented on Saturday at the 30th Lincolnshire Wolds Tough Ten Mile Race at Rothwell, NE Lincs.
Over 270 participants ran over the tough and undulating 10-mile loop.
First home for the Coasters was Ben Evison, who came fifth overall.
The first lady Coaster home was Fiona Fisher.
Results from the Coasters running team were - 5, Ben Evison (59:24); 37, Andy Shelton (1:06:24); 222. Fiona Fisher (1:32:30); 224, Ben Peel (1:32:36); 236, Julie Hawkesford, (1:34:54); 240, Nathan Fisher, (1:35:36); 270, Helena Shelton, (1:59:58).
Skegness Coasters are affiliated to England Athletics and cater for all abilities from walkers to seasoned runners. They meet at The Welcome Inn, Skegness at 6.30pm on Tuesdays. For more info check out www.skegnesscoasters.co.uk.
