CAMERON Dunne got things off to a flying start for Swifts, with his first goal of the match after just two minutes.

With half time fast approaching, Swifts’ Jack Fulton struck a shot which hit the bar before CK Wilson scored for the home team with a close range effort after some great team work by Cowell, White and Dunne.

Tigers pulled one back with a sweetly struck free kick from the edge of box to narrow the gap, and the score at half time was 2-1 to Swifts.

The second half was just exciting as the first, as the visitors pulled a quick goal back to level things up, before Kieran Parker ran through the Tigers’ defence and set up Dunne to tap in at close range.

Again, the visitors pulled another goal back to level at 3-3, with some good team play before Kieran Parker scored his first goal of the season with a strike into the top of the net.

Tigers equalised once more to spice things up, and Swifts’ new signing Ellie Cunliffe impressed on her debut with some great runs and team play, but it was Dunne’s determination which enabled him to score his hat trick and finish the match off.

Team: Cowell, Cunliffe, Day, Dunne, Fulton, Godrich (capt), Gregory, Laurenov, Parker, Parker, Rice, Shaw, White, Wilson.

Next Sunday, Swifts will host Birchwood Colts at Jubilee Park, with a 10.45am kick off.
