During the night, the parents were entertained by the juniors with skills of ju-jitsu, karate and judo elements required in their grading, followed by ground moves and finishing locks.

The orange group also gave a display of Kihon Kata, which is normally studied at senior level.

The seniors showed judo moves with a finishing ground hold, then counter moves and escapes.

This was followed by take downs to a given finish move with the tap-out finish then a counter move, which was very impressive.

The Cobra Club meets on Fridays in Studio Two of the Lisa Jay Stage Institute, Grosvenor Road, Skegness.

The new term starts on January 8, juniors 6.30pm-7.30pm and seniors 7.45pm-9.15pm.
